I cannot believe we are two weeks away from Thanksgiving!  I wanted to provide you with a few updates and info on some upcoming activities.

We are #4 Top Workplaces in DFW!  And Best Managers too!

Congratulations Team for making us the #4 Top Workplace in DFW for

mid-sized companies. You are an important part of us attaining this award.  This is our 11th year making the Top Work places list, one of 15 companies that have been on the list 11 or more times.  In addition, there are a handful of special awards given out in which we received a special award for Best Managers!

Free Turkeys – Next Week!

We are excited to provide a free frozen turkey to all Benchmark associates!  Turkey’s will be available for pick up at the associate entrance on:

•              Tuesday, November 19th from 1:30pm to 5pm

•              Wednesday ,November 20th from 2pm to 6pm

•              Thursday, November 21st from 1:30pm to 5:30pm

•              3rdShift can pick any of these dates from 6-8am at the Purchasing office!

Storm Ride Out Crew – sign up now!

As we prepare for the potential of snow or ice this Winter season, we are seeking associates to join our Storm Ride Out Crew.  This helps us to know who is willing to help out if a storm should occur.  Here are some details:

•              Willing to stay at DU or a close-by hotel for up to three days. (if another hotel, we provide transportation to DU).

•              Willing to work up to 12 hours per shift.

•              Willing to work in other position besides your normal position.

•              Pay is your normal pay rate – Overtime will apply!

We would give you notice so you can go home and pack a bag.  All meals are provided during your stay.  Click here to sign up for the Storm Ride Out Crew.

Hollywood Holiday Party – Saturday, December 7th

We are looking forward to seeing you are our annual holiday party in December.  Please remember to RSVP by November 30th by clicking here! Also, we will continue our holiday tradition of collecting Gift Cards for Christ’s Haven community home.  These gift cards can be for any store or restaurant in any denomination.  Thank you in advance for your donation to Christ’s Haven.

Uniform Inventory – All Uniforms Turned in Before Dark Days

Every Dark Days, our Uniform team completes an inventory of all uniforms.  Please ensure to turn in ALL uniforms before your last shift before Dark Days, no later than December18th!  If you are not sure what you have checked out, stop by the Uniform Room for a list of all uniforms you currently have checked out.  If you are missing any uniforms pieces, you may be charged to replace those garments.  If you are working over the Dark Days, you should plan on wearing your own clothes.

Locker Clean Out – for Dark Days

Another task we complete over Dark Days is to ensure your locker is completely cleaned out.  This is a great time to throw away any trash or extra stuff in your locker.  All lockers will be opened and cleaned over Dark Days.  Anything left in the lockers will be thrown away.  You may use your locker to store coats, purses, and backpacks if you are working over Dark Days.
